Frequently asked questions

Find answers to common questions about satellite imagery search and data use.

Questions and answers

What satellite imagery can I search?

You can search registered EO, SAR and analysis imagery for which the service can provide a thumbnail and basic acquisition information.

How do acquisition and registration dates differ?

The acquisition date is when the satellite captured the imagery. The registration date is when the data was added to StellarSpaceHub.

What is spatial resolution?

It is the ground area represented by one image pixel. A smaller ground area per pixel generally allows finer details to be identified.

Is the thumbnail the same as the original imagery?

A thumbnail is a preview for search and identification. Its displayed size and color rendering may differ from the original data.

Why are there no search results?

There may be no imagery matching every selected condition. Reset the conditions and try a broader search.

Where can I learn about the API?

Open API Guide to review the complete interface catalog, request parameters, and browser testing availability.

Can I use the service with a keyboard?

Use Tab to move through menus, search conditions and result links, then use Space or Enter to select or activate them.
